SECOND STRATEGY MEETING OF THE IEACF NETWORK

In advance of COP30, this two-day in-person event brought together governments, donors, multilateral climate funds, UN agencies, and civil society to identify concrete actions for delivering climate finance to fragile and conflict-affected countries. It was co-hosted by the Improved and Equitable Access Network, World Food Programme (WFP), the UNFCCC, the G7+ Secretariat, ODI Global, and Korea International Cooperation Agency at WFP headquarters in Rome.

Day 1 featured a high-level multi-stakeholder meeting on improving equitable access to climate finance, hosted by the IEACF Network.

Day 2 convened the technical meeting of the project ‘Needs-based Finance for LDCs and SIDS Facing Conflict and Severe Humanitarian Needs’: the latest phase of the UNFCCC’s needs-based finance project which is supporting Chad, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan, Timor-Leste and Yemen to assess their needs and priorities and translate these into specific funding projects and programmes.
